Help Stuff the Bus!

United Way of Lebanon County & AFL know that, for many families who are struggling, the basic supplies their children need to start school have become a luxury they can't afford ...

That's where you come in!

Between June 21 & July 30 we are asking folks to donate supples for kids in pre-school through middle school such as pens, pencils, markers, safety scissors, glue sticks, rulers, spiral notebooks, three ring binders, bookbags, etc.

Items may be dropped off in the Stuff the Bus box near the circ desk @ the Annville Free Library.

We all win when a child succeeds in school.
That's what it means to LIVE UNITED.

Help Us Keep New Books On The Shelves With:

READ IT FIRST @ AFL!

Here is a way for you to help offset our 50% cut in the book budget & get a little something in return. We often pre-order new popular fiction hardcover titles months before the publishing date.

Check out the list below and if you see something you are just dying to read you can buy it for us for $15.00. In return you will be guaranteed to be the first to read it plus a bookplate with your name on it will be placed in the book.

The way it works is pretty simple. The first person to bring in the money gets to read the book first. The list will keep changing so check back often. Titles that are crossed out are no longer available for Read It First.
Titles in red are new.

Friends of the Annville Free Library Fundraiser

The Friends of the Annville Free Library are raising funds by selling Giant Grocery Store Gift Cards through Giant's Cash for Causes Program. This will be an ongoing fundraiser & is a great way for everyone to help our library while doing their regular grocery shopping! Here's how it works:

  • You may purchase gift cards in any amount ($5, $20, $100, whatever your budget allows) from the Friends of the Library.
  • Use your cards at checkout, just as you would use cash, check, or credit card.
  • The card works like a debit cards ... if you have a $100 card but only spend $20, $80 will remain on your card for your next visit to Giant.
  • The cards NEVER expire!
  • Cards may be used at any Giant Store (Lebanon, cleona, Hummelstown, Hershey, Lancaster, etc).
  • You may use the card in Giant Pharmacies & at Giant Gas Pumps.
  • You may still use your Giant bonus Card with each purchase, jsut as you would with other forms of payment.
  • The Friends earn 5% of the amount of cards sold. 100 families spending just $100 on groceries each week could raise $26,000 for our Library each year!

To purchase cards, place your order with Karin Mitchell (bkjmitchell@comcast.net or
273-2326). Checks should be written to Friends of the Annville Free Library.

Thank you for suppporting YOUR library!
